Tim Mendes, Proprietor

Timothy Mendes is a native New Yorker who has traveled throughout Europe, South America, North America, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and Australia. Ultimately, however, he is always drawn back to the energy and excitement of New York. From his vast travel experience, Tim has learned that if he stays in a place that is bright, cheery, has a view, and is centrally located, his stay is much more enjoyable. When travelling to a new city, he wants to feel like he lives there. He wants to be part of the culture, not a just tourist looking in. This is the unique experience Tim creates for the visitor coming to New York. A lover of good design, Tim has created retreats that are comfortable and beautiful. Tim has also taught English as a Second Language for over ten years, incorporating the city's culture into his lesson plans. A graduate from the University of Buffalo, and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of theater, he used to run his own theater company, and is very knowledgeable in the theater, dance, film, and music world of New York and is happy to share it with his guests. Tim is a Libra and when he is not helping his guests, his favorite thing to do in New York is relaxed in a cafe and people watch. Robyn Mark, Food Consultant

As a lifelong resident of New York City, Robyn is the consummate dining advisor for all occasions. Whether it is sampling a street vendor's offerings, a casual dining experience, or the ultimate formal restaurant meal, Robyn's sensitivity and expertise is unique. Subtle distinctions among the vast choices one has when choosing a dining venue makes her skill at matching and individualizing an eating experience with a diner's desires and expectations truly special.

Through her vast professional and social network she has built relationships with many of the well-known restaurateurs, with top-notch chefs, and with experienced entrepreneurs throughout the country, which has given her the reputation as the "go-to" person for family, friends, and business associates for their dining needs. Robyn knows well that whether dining for pleasure or business, a meal can make the difference of one's successful and happy travel experience.

Robyn acts as a virtual tour guide, including travel time estimates at different times of day, making you feel like you have a personal concierge at your side as you travel through the often-confusing city of New York. With so many travel books and magazines offering opinions, Robyn gets to know each individual and creates her list of suggestions based on the client's particular needs and interests, combined with her intimate knowledge of both the cuisines, atmosphere, neighborhood and price range of each place she recommends.

While she has an especially unique knowledge of New York City, Robyn has created extensive itineraries for clients all over the world. From a sailing trip down the coast of Maine, where she suggested restaurants and ports to stop and eat, to an 18-day vacation through the French Riviera, she knows that every client is different, and what might be a trendy and cool restaurant to one, may feel crowded and loud to another. Or, what may be a perfect romantic spot for some, may feel unexciting to others. Whether it's a celebratory meal, an important corporate meeting or family dinner, Robyn will help you find exactly what you're looking for and will endeavor to make sure your time in New York is impeccably delicious.
